Snowboarding is one of the most popular sports in the winter so it is also called a winter sport. It means you are standing and keeping balance on a board attached to a rider’s leg then you are careful to move on the snow.
Estimated that snowboarding started inspiration from skateboarding, sledding, surfing and skiing then it was well known in USA from 1960s. In Winter Olympic Sport 1998, it was officially publicized and became one of main sports.
The origin of snowboarding was ting plywood or wooden planks from barrels to feet to move down and up slope or hill easily. Until 1965 when Sherman Poppen invented a toy by fastening two skis together and attaching a rope to one to stay balance for his daughter. It was amazing that she could stand, move and glide up or down the hill conveniently.
TYPES OF SNOWBOARDING
During the time, there are other versions of snowboarding which is suitable for different feature of snow area, speed, the age. But we can remember the main types as the following: freeriding, freestyle, urban, half pipe and board-cross.
Actually, playing any sport will bring benefits about mental health and physics. So snowboarding has useful functions to persuade you to play it regularly if you have a free time.
Firstly, snowboarding helps you to increase flexibility and muscle. When snowboarding, you need to adjust your mind to stay balance and change way or direction usually.
